Designed To Make You Feel
Our design process is built on a balance of deep expertise and meaningful collaboration. From initial consultation through final design, we combine technical knowledge, site-driven insight, and creative problem-solving to guide each decision with purpose. Clients are active partners throughout the process, ensuring the landscape reflects both professional best practices and personal vision.
PHASE I
Design Consultation
This first step begins with an on-site visit, allowing us to fully understand both your property and your vision. We discuss your goals, preferences, and ideas in detail while carefully documenting key observations about the space itself. These insights ensure we capture what matters most.
PHASE II
Preliminary Design
Using insights gathered on site, we translate the vision into a cohesive preliminary design that establishes the overall layout, spatial relationships, and key program elements. This phase focuses on big-picture decisions—organization, flow, scale, and character—while exploring materials, planting intent, and architectural alignment.
PHASE III
Final Design
The final design phase refines the approved concept into a fully resolved, build-ready plan. Detailed drawings, material selections, planting compositions, and specifications are finalized to ensure clarity, accuracy, and constructability. Every element is considered through the lens of longevity, performance, and visual cohesion. This phase delivers a precise roadmap for installation, ensuring the finished landscape reflects the original vision with craftsmanship and intent.

From Our Home to Yours:
One Hundred Acres in Marthasville, MO
Planting mature trees allows clients and designers to experience the full impact of a landscape design from day one. At our 100+ acre tree farm, some specimens have been nurtured for over 40 years. Each one is meticulously hand-pruned to ensure optimal health and form before being transplanted to its forever home.
RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
The In-House Advantage: Your Start to Finish Solution
What distinguishes our process is that it is supported by a fully integrated design, build, and maintenance team. Because our designers work directly alongside the professionals who install and care for the landscape long after completion, every decision is made with real-world performance, constructability, and longevity in mind. This continuity eliminates handoffs, reduces uncertainty, and ensures the original design intent is carried through every phase.

RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
An Award Winning Team
Our work is consistently recognized at the highest levels of the landscape industry. In 2025, our designers earned four national medals at the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) Awards—two Gold and two Silver—honoring the design, craftsmanship, and execution behind our most prestigious landscapes. These awards reflect not just beautiful outcomes, but rigorous standards, peer review, and excellence across design, installation, and long-term performance.

A Start-To-Finish Solution
From concept to install, our in-house solution keeps every aspect of your project under one roof. With design, construction, and maintenance all handled by the same team, communication stays clear and your vision stays consistent.
Our first meeting is typically at the project site, whether it is your home or property. At this meeting we work to understand your landscape goals and begin to get an understanding of site conditions.
After our first meeting, our designers then begin the design. Collaborating with department leads, they work on design and plant options that would be best suited for your space. Depending on time of year and scope of project, this phase can take between two and six weeks.
We invite you to our Garden Center in Defiance to review your design and guide you on a personal tour of the property to tag individual materials you want used in your install.
If there was feedback on the design, we work on the revisions until the design is exactly what you envision. Once the design is approved, the project can move into the next phase.

Our team sources and orders any material that we do not already have for the project and begins prepping all production documentation. We notify you a week before your installation date and contact the proper authorities to mark any underground utilities.
